Authorization Processing Delays

Upon implementation of our system conversion, we have encountered delays in the processing of authorization requests:

 
o       Due to the heavy volume of paper authorization requests being received via fax, the response times will be delayed. Please keep in mind that we have 2 business days to make a determination for commercial authorizations and 14business days for Medicare Advantage authorizations.
 
o       Contact our Member Services Team at (888) 863-3637 or (541) 385-5315 to check the status of authorization requests. This will allow the authorization staff to process your requests as quickly as possible. If you need to confirm the receipt of a fax, please allow 2 business days before calling.
 
o       Send authorizations to the following numbers to ensure timely responses based on line of business:
      • Commercial Authorization Requests - (541) 322-6499
      • Medicare Authorization Requests - (541) 382-2952
      • Pharmacy Authorization Requests - (541) 382-4225
      • Chart Notes - (541) 382-6898
 
o       COIHS authorizations should continue to be submitted electronically via CIM.
