PacificSource Community Soutions Medicaid Validation Update

3/7/2020 3:05:59 PM

The PacificSource Credentialing team has recently updated our policy on the Medicaid Validation application process, and which providers are required to complete this process for participation on the PacificSource Community Solutions panel. Going forward, the only providers required to complete the validation process include:

  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors (CADC I, II, III)

  • Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP)

  • Qualified Mental Health Associates (QMHA)

  • Traditional Health Workers (certified by the Oregon Health Authority)

  • Interpreters (certified by the Oregon Health Authority)

All other providers that previously were included in the validation process that require a supervisor, such as Interns and Residents, no longer need to complete this application process. These provider types will bill incident-to under their supervisor, and will not be loaded into our directory until they are independently licensed to practice and complete the full credentialing process.

Please note, this change does not impact provider types that must undergo the full credentialing process, only Medicaid validation. Should you have questions on this change or general questions on the credentialing/validation process, please contact our Credentialing team at We thank you for your continued partnership to provide our members excellent care, and hope this continues to streamline the onboarding process.
